I have ridden in many shows throughout the 15 years I have been showing. My favorite show was the 2016 5 gaited show pleasure championship class at the American Royal Horse Show. As the class was ending, before they announced the placings, the announcer called me to center ring. I had not realized I did anything wrong but still thought I was being excused from the class. As I rode over to center ring, I saw my boyfriend, Terry Hill, approaching with flowers. When he reached center ring, he got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife. We came up with Royal Hill by combining two of my favorite things, the American Royal Horse Show and my soon to be last name.
