Royal Hill Stables
Meet The Trainer
On her fifth birthday, Chelcie told her mother that she wanted to ride a horse. Her mother shook her head and after constant pestering from Chelcie, her mother finally gave in and found her riding lessons. Chelcie’s mother was sure that after the first lesson, Chelcie would not want to return due to her fear of heights, but Chelcie has been riding ever since.
Over the years Chelcie has learned the thrill of winning and the heartbreak of being dismissed from the show ring. Chelcie has never stopped trying to improve her riding skills as well as helping others learn to ride.
Following high school graduation, Chelcie was offered a scholarship to William Woods University. After attending for a year, she felt as if she could learn more by working with horses full time alongside different trainers. In 2017 Chelcie was offered a job as an assistant trainer and riding instructor in Iowa at a saddlebred barn.
In October of 2018 Chelcie fulfilled her lifelong dream by starting her own stables and sharing her passion with others.
